Caribbean Airlines Cargo has announced its intention to boost its freight services for the upcoming Christmas peak season. According to a press release yesterday, during the period of December 02 to 24, 2019, Caribbean Airlines Cargo will increase its cargo capacity by over one hundred per cent with additional daily freight flights to accommodate delivery commitments to its customers.

The airline stated that this increased capacity from Miami includes:

  • Six weekly flights to Port of Spain (POS) (Monday to Saturday)
  • Five weekly flights to Kingston (KIN) (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday)
  • Two weekly flights to Georgetown (GEO) (Wednesday and Saturday)
  • Two weekly flights to Bridgetown (BGI) (Tuesday and Friday)

The airline is encouraging its customers during the peak season to book their cargo at least one week in advance, or at minimum, three days prior to the flight date.

Customers are assured of the option to apply ‘priority’ status to their cargo which will guarantee ‘Must Ride’ shipping on a requested date. Priority shipping attracts a fee of 15% of the standard all in shipping rates.

A peak season surcharge of 5% of the shipping rate will also be applied to all shipments originating out of Miami (MIA), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), New York (JFK) and Toronto (YYZ), the release added.(stabroek News)…[+]
