hospital currently has a Code Black situation. This statement was released after a news report claimed that the Emergency Room had switched to Code Black due to a shortage of personnel and logistical limitations. The management team made it clear that the report is not based on the facts and also condemned the manner in which it was published. It also contradicted the report that claimed that the continuation, quality and safety of emergency patient care is no longer guaranteed. “There is no Code Black and medical services are being provided as usual. People can still rely on the services of the ER and all other departments in accordance with the existing guidelines.” The AZP explained that the protocols at the various departments are currently being evaluated and that this is all part of the regular internal processes that are aimed at improving things. It also deemed it concerning that an internal document was leaked to the press. The management team claimed that the internal document was intentionally leaked to create a wrong image of the hospital. Despite the assurance of the management team at the AZP the fact remains the nation’s healthcare is under tremendous pressure due to a serious shortage of medical workers and specialists.
