The organization behind  Miss India Suriname opted to send the winner to the international pageant as it is about more than just winning a crown. The young women must be given the opportunity to develop themselves, gain international experience and profit from bigger media exposure and more opportunities.  Thakoer is the first Miss to represent Suriname at an international pageant this year. Later this year  Miss India Suriname 2026, Ishika Rigpal will represent  Suriname at the so-called Grand Slam pageant.s
