Demerara Bank expands digital services

GUYANA   -   Demerara Bank Limited announced last Saturday that its customers can now open accounts online  as well as have access to a number of retail and business credit facilities.

In a statement to the media, the bank said it welcomes the announcement by Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh that customers can open accounts online at four commercial banks. With the Minister’s announcement, our commitment to providing hassle-free and secure banking experiences has been further strengthened,” the bank said.

Further, the bank said that the new policy allows for the expansion of online banking across the sector. As such, Demerara Bank reminded that it already offers a comprehensive suite of online applications via its website www.demerarabank.com, offering convenience for both individuals and businesses. Persons or entities can apply for Savings Accounts, Term Deposit Accounts, Foreign Currency Accounts, Registered Business Accounts and Company Accounts online. Additionally, customers can seamlessly apply online for a comprehensive range of retail and business credit facilities, including: housing loans, automobile (Vehicle) loans, SME loans, overdrafts and Visa credit cards (available in all classes).

Moreover, customers can also take advantage of a suite of additional services online including applications for personal and corporate e-banking, night deposit facility and safety deposit facility. “All these services are conveniently listed under the “Accounts,” “Services,” “Credit Facilities,” and “Visa Credit Cards” sections on our website.
