According to a statement from the police, ranks carried out searches in and around the Mahdia Arcade when they discovered a bulky black plastic bag concealed in an abandoned area beneath old wood and plastic. The bag contained leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis. The suspected narcotic was taken to the Mahdia Police Station, where it was weighed and amounted to 100 grams before being lodged.
