BEP and the National Party Suriname (NPS) sent a letter to the chairman of parliament to request an emergency session. These parties explained that they seem the emergency session urgent because they have noticed an alarming rise in the number of questionable government actions. Last  Tuesday the leaders of the factions in parliament convened to discuss the issue.

The chairman of parliament, Marinus Bee, announced that a letter has been sent to the head of state to demand answers. After the government has sent the documents,it will be decided if a public session will be held.  The three projects are the repair of the road from  Nieuw-Nickerie to

Apoera and also the Van ’t Hogerhuys Project and the Jarikaba housing project.
