Welfare and Labor Minister André Misiekaba last Thursday. The ceremony took place in the presence of the board and the trainers of Het Huisarts Instituut Suriname. The chairperson of Stichting Health Education and Health Promotion Suriname, Inspectie Verplegende en Verzorgende Beroepen and the teachers also attended the ceremony. Het Huisarts Instituut Suriname is an institute that is located in Paramaribo and that trains physicians and nurses. At the special ceremony the important role of doctor assistants was emphasized. Minister Misiekaba pointed out that it is essential to give nurses the proper training.
