In a brief update this morning, the police said, “Relative to the shooting of Lolita Callender aka Lola Doll last night, Police have arrested one person who is assisting with the investigation.” Callender, a 33-year-old resident of Texas Square, East Ruimveldt in Georgetown, was shot outside her home at around 23:35h. “Information received that she was shot in her motor car, by a male on a  motorcycle, infront of her house,” the police said. Callender was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where the police said she was in a critical condition. She received gun shots to her neck, face, hands and right leg. (iNewsGuyana)
