He told the police that L.V. chased him with a machete after they had a heated argument. The victim fled into his apartment located in the Braamshoopweg but L.V. chopped the front door with his machete before kicking it open. The victim then ran into his bedroom and locked the door behind him. L.V. also started chopping the bedroom door with his machete but could not get it open. Reports indicate that L.V. was arrested on a destruction of private property charge and is currently in jail awaiting trial. The investigation is ongoing.
