The Surinamese head of state was also invited to attend the singer’s show that was scheduled to take place at the Live Entertainment Center later that day. Chinwo told the Communications Division Suriname that she seems the visit as special honor. According to Chinwo, it is not only important to show respect to the Surinamese head of state but to also get acquainted with Simons. Chinwo also praised the fact that for the first time ever Suriname is run by a female president. “It is beautiful to see a woman lead and unite a nation with so much dignity”, said Chinwo who added that she sees Simons as a source of inspiration for women worldwide. Chinwo also expressed her appreciation for what she described as the love of the president for God. She hinted that she would like to have Simons attend the concert “to experience Jezus”. Chinwo who traveled to Suriname with her husband, Pastor Blessed, and her team sees her arrival as part of her mission to spread the gospel of Jezus worldwide. She believes that God is about to do something huge with Suriname. “It is an honor for me to be here with my team and my husband. We are here to preach the gospel of Jezus and to be a blessing for the nation of Suriname”, said Chinwo who was impressed by the warm welcome that she received upon her arrival in Suriname. Chinwo is also impressed by the fact that the Surinamese people are familiar with her music. “The people are so friendly and I feel honored that they know my songs. They sang my songs and I sang along”, said Chinwo. Pastor Blessed pointed out that “it is prophetic that Suriname is the first South American country that they visited despite invitations from several countries within the region.” He also referred to the historical character of the presidency of Simons. According to Pastor Blessed, God has a plan for Suriname and their presence is the result of the obedience to that call. Pastor Blessed predicted growing prosperity and he also predicted an important role for the nation’s youths. “God is about to do something amazing that will not only change the nation but also this region”, said Pastor Blessed who added that he expects the Surinamese people to achieve big things worldwide in the future.
