The current police commissioner, Melvin Pinas, also appeared on stage and thanked the seniors for laying the foundation of the organization. Justice and Safety Minister Harish Monorath who also attended the reunion emphasized the importance of acknowledging the commitment of the retirees to the community. The police officers who were stationed in the Tigri region and who have returned from active service were also given praise as they had showed unwavering courage in the line of duty.
