audit of all the ministries and state-owned companies to get a clear picture of the situation that is left behind by the previous administration. Gregory Rusland, chairman of the National Party Suriname (NPS), confirmed the plans of the new coalition. The audit is part of the new coalition’s strategy to determine the policy for the next five years. “Of course there will be an audit of all of the ministries and semi governmental companies to know exactly what we are taking over,” said Rusland who is also the vice president-elect. Technical workgroups of the coalition parties are currently putting together a framework for future reforms, priotlrities and governance principles.
The results of the audit will be ilused to determine the basis for the government measures and budget decisions.
