(Kwatta) last Monday. When A.P., the woman who lives in the house, realized that somebody had left a baby on her doorstep, she grabbed the bucket with the baby in it and brought it to the Munder Police Station.

Reports indicate that the baby is a boy and that there were also baby clothes and a letter that was written in English in a bag. The baby was taken to the Emergency Room of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP) where he was admitted for observation. The police are urging people with information about the baby’s mother to call the Munder Police Station at 443777 or to call the Command Center at 115.
