The chairman of the Pertjajah Luhur (PL), Paul Somohardjo, did not have all of the necessary documents that he had to hand in when he wanted to register his party at the Central Main Polling Bureau (CHS) last Wednesday.

Reports indicated that he did not have a copy of the financial report of the PL party. One of the requirements is that this must be handed in at the CHS by all of the political parties. Another requirement is that it must be published in the advertisement paper of the Republic of Suriname and in a local newspaper. Somohardjo who wanted to hand in everything last Wednesday therefore handed in a copy of Times of Suriname because it contained a report on the income and expenditure of the PL. The CHS reportedly accepted this solution.
