"The MiGs are reaching the end of their service life, meaning they will be withdrawn from the Polish army, and we are discussing their transfer with the Ukrainian side," Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz told Polish public radio broadcaster Trojka.

According to Kosiniak-Kamysz, this could also include "the transfer of technologies-for example in the field of drones and missiles-from Ukraine to Poland". Poland, which handed over many of its MiG-29s to Ukraine after Russia launched its 2022 invasion, still has 14 of the aircraft, according to media reports. "Talks are ongoing, and we are determined to finalize them as quickly as possible," Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized.
