past 7 months while others have been waiting for their money even longer. Several contractors explained that they are trying to stay afloat but that they will eventually run out of funds which is why they can no longer guarantee that they will be able to keep it up much longer.

“The government does not try to pay its bills but we will wait until the first week of May before taking the next step. We also have obligations and we must pay our employees. We keep coughing up the money but we will be the ones who will eventually go bankrupt if we do not get paid,” said one of the contractors.
