last Monday. DA is suspected of having robbed two tourists in the Kleine Combéweg near the Palm Garden around 21:30 last Monday. He allegedly used a knife to threaten and rob the male tourist and his daughter. DA snatched the woman’s bag which contained a wallet, two credit cards, an ATM card, a Dutch driver’s license, a car key, a key to a hotel room, an iPhone 13, a bill of € 20 and an unspecified amount of money in local currency. He kept waving his knife and managed to cut one of the woman’s hands. The woman required medical treatment because of the injury. Both victims notified the police after the suspect had fled the scene. The make victim managed to track down his daughter’s iPhone with his smartphone. The suspect was in a casino when the police closed in on him but fled the scene after he had spotted the police. He reportedly dumped the stolen iPhone in a flower pot outside of the casino. His attempt to flee was futile because the police caught him and took him into police custody. The suspect is currently in jail awaiting trial.
