the Ministry of Health and various national health partners. A mini health fair was also organized to inform people about the vaccination options for them and their children. The director of the Public Health Bureau (BOG), Radjes Ori, explained the importance of sharing reliable information about vaccinations. “We alll know that vaccines save lives. But during the COVID-19 pandemic a lot of misinformation is shared which is why some people are reluctant to get vaccinated. This has led to a drop in the vaccination coverage. I urge everybody to check the vaccination status of them and their children especially given the increase in the number of measles and yellow fever cases in the region,” said Ori who added that in the Vaccination Week the BOG will extend its business hours to give as many people as people the opportunity to get vaccinated. Health Minister Amar
Ramadhin emphasized the power of collective responsibility. “Vaccination is not only an individual choice but it is also a joint effort to protect the entire community. This week we confirm our promise to leave nobody behind,” said Minister Ramadhin. “Thanks to vaccinations more children than ever celebrate their first birthday, go to school and grow up to be healthy adults. Each vaccination is a step towards a healthier and stronger future,” said Unicef program manager Javier
