a proposal aimed at banning people who have been convicted and with a criminal record from getting a political position within the government. They explained that this proposal is the result of the wish of the nation. The people who want higher integrity values within the government only want government officials without a criminal record to run the country. “This rule must be anchored in the constitution.” In order to achieve this, article 54 of the constitution would have to be amended or expanded. The rule would apply to the president, vice president, ministers, deputy ministers, legislators , members of the State Council, directors and deputy directors of departments, district commissioners and elected representatives.
