NICKERIE - Residents of Wageningen recently complained about the fact that there is still a shortage of medicines at the local pharmacy.

Insuline is out of stock at the pharmacy which is why patients have to go all the way to Nieuw-Nickerie with the prescriptions from their doctor. The patients explained that they have to take the bus but if they miss the bus, they must take a taxi. This means that they have to spend a lot of money to cover transportation costs. The residents want the pharmacy in Wageningen to be given enough supplies so that they obtain their medicines in their region without having to travel all the way to Nieuw-Nickerie.
