WAASHTI and DEVI were intercepted. Two of the boats had a falsified fishing permit while the third one had a copy of a fishing permit. Due to this violation the vessels were seized. The Guyanese men who were on the boats were arrested due to their illegal status. The joint team arrested 12 Guyanese men including the captains in total. The suspects are currently awaiting trial. The investigation is ongoing.
