The Civic Information Center announced that the security cameras are part of the Safe City 3 Project. The project is aimed at improving and expanding security in the region with the help of advanced technology. The cameras will help the police to track suspects down faster and they will also help to keep an eye on public places.   The activities are being conducted in phases. The Safe City 3 Project which is part of the  Road Monitoring Project was reportedly launched on January 17th.
