Corporate Communication Manager Jennis Asraf explained that the telecom provider has repeatedly been targeted by vandals since July 1st. She pointed out that “this is the 6th time that fibre-optic cables have been cut this month.” As a result of the recent act of vandalism about one thousand clients of Telesur did not have access to the company’s network. In the past couple of weeks fibre-optic cables were either destroyed or cut at multiple locations. Telesur pointed out that these acts of vandalism cause huge financial losses.
