An entrepreneur had been busy with the illegal sand mining en selling the sand over six years ago. MP Doorson said that nobody ever instructed the entrepreneur to stop these activities. When he was told to stop all of his activities, he immediately called a district secretary to explain that he had to make more deliveries to businesses. MP Doorson made it clear that “this is not the district commissioner’s office problem. The entrepreneur made a lot of money with the illegal sand mining. The illegal sand mining which could cause flooding took place in the Coppename region. “All of the illegal activities will be stopped,” said MP Doorson.
