coldblooded act which claimed the life of a defenseless child in a conflict between adults. The fatal incident took place in Calcutta Street in Paramaribo on January 1st, 2026. Prior to the tragedy the suspect and her partner had an argument. After the argument the woman locked the house from the inside before grabbing a kitchen knife and proceeding to the bedroom of the child where she stabbed the boy in the back. The child died at the scene of the crime as his left lung had been pierced. The prosecutor claimed that it was not a premeditated act. The defendant reportedly participated in mediation, apologized to the boy’s biological mother and expressed remorse for her actions.
