Minister Stephan Tsang explained the ministry has started cleaning up ditches, road sides and roads. As always the Ministry of Public Works is once again facing a shortage of funds. Given the fact that it has to work with limited funds, the ministry cannot always carry out maintenance. The Public Works Ministry will not only focus on the most important channels that are part of the drainage system but also on the smaller ones that have not been cleaned properly for many years. Minister Tsang pointed out that the ministry started planning the preparations in January 2026. “We will stick to the planning. We cannot be everywhere in the country at the same time,” said Minister Tsang.
