21-year-old J.J. and 17-year-old D.L. had allegedly robbed a taxi driver in the Duisburglaan. Shortly after their arrest a third suspect namely 16-year-old O.J. showed up at the Flora Police Station to surrender himself with a stolen mobile phone. The police report indicates that the taxi driver was robbed by three men who did not wear masks. The victim who was threatened with a knife gave the robbers his mobile phone. He offered resistance at first and reportedly sustained a cut under his right eye. After the robbery, the perpetrators fled the scene but were spotted in the Tyronneweg. When they realized that they had been spotted by the police, they ran away so the police fired a warning shot. One of the suspects surrendered immediately while a second one was arrested shortly afterwards in the Purmerendweg. The third suspect chose to surrender himself at the local police sation. The stolen mobile phone was recovered and has already been returned to its rightful owner. Two of the three suspects are still minors so they were brought to the Opa Doelie Juvenile Center.
