Woman arrested on murder charge at Schiphol

PARAMARIBO/AMSTERDAM - A 40-year-old woman from Amsterdam was recently arrested at Schiphol, the international airport in the Netherlands, over the murder of a 41-year-old man from Suriname.

The victim was found dead in the Belgian Lake near the Dutch border on August 15th. Investigators concluded that the man was murdered. The victim was last seen in Amsterdam on August 5th. On August 12th a friend reported him missing. Three days later his body was found. Investigators found out that prior to his disappearance the man had been in contact with multiple people  in  Amsterdam and Almere. The female suspect from Amsterdam was allegedly involved in the murder. The Dutch police did not rule out that more arrests will be made. The investigation is ongoing in the Netherlands and Belgium.
