Utterberg and 28-year-old Amazilo Keerdijk managed to escape from the jai house at the Flora Police Station on Thursday, August 28th. Their jailbreak was detected when another team of police officers reported for duty. The detainees managed to escape after they had sawed off the steel bars of the ventilation hole. Utterberg is back in jail awaiting trial while the police are trying to track down the whereabouts of  Keerdijk so that he could be placed in police custody again.
