At least 11 killed after bus overturns in southeast Mex-ico

MEXICO - At least 11 people were killed on Monday morning after a passenger bus overturned on a road in the Mexican southeastern state of Oaxaca, said local authorities.

The fatal accident occurred on the Mitla-Tehuantepec highway, near the entrance to the community of Santo Domingo Narro in the state. The injured were immediately taken to the nearest medical centers, with two in serious condition, said the state government in a statement. The authorities are conducting investigations to clarify the circumstances of the accident.  The state government will be in charge of supporting the families that were affected by the traffic accident, and those in need will be attended by the State System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF) and other institutions.
