It is suspected that the homeless man, AP, set fire to a private residence located in the George Eelstraat earlier that day. The police officers received a call about the fire around 13:22. The results of the preliminary investigation indicated that the house was vacant and that the owner lives abroad. AP allegedly broke into the house before setting fire to the house in one of the bedrooms. The people who live in the same neighborhood rushed to the house and managed to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported. The suspect is currently in jail awaiting trial. The investigation is ongoing.
