Hoogestraat. The police rushed to the scene after having received the call about the shooting incident. When the police officers arrived on the scene, they found out that B.H. was standing in front of a building with his mother and a friend when two masked men on a moped approached them. The passenger got off the moped and aimed a gun at them before hooting at the woman. Fortunately the woman didn’t sustain a gunshot wound. The shooter then snatched the woman’s gold necklace. The woman offered resistance so the necklace fell on the ground. The shooter then ran back to the moped and was chased by B.H. and his friend. When the shooter realized that he and his accomplice were being chased, he fired two shots at the men. The bullet went in and out of the left leg of B.H. B.H. was rushed to the Emergency Room of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP). The investigation is ongoing. The perpetrators are still at large.
