RW, 26-year-old and RN, 23-year-old, are suspected of having shot at another man on May 22nd. The victim who had reportedly sustained a gunshot wound had already been taken to the Emergency Room at the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP) when a police unit from the Geyersvlijt Police Department arrived at the scene. Investigators found out that the two suspects did business with the victim but that the men got into a heated argument on May 22nd. During the confrontation one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot at the victim. After the victim was shot, the suspects fled the scene. The victim was admitted to the hospital and is currently in recovery. When the suspects were arrested the police confiscated a gun. It is believed that it is the same gun that was used to shoot the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
